So many people post about how they were just canned by adsense. Because of this, it seems to be skewed to google just banning people. Seems like someone would be gun-shy about doing adsense. Almost nudging people to not get involved with adsense. So, how long have you had adsense and are still getting paid? It would be something to see who is going on the longest streak. And a second part to the question might be, how nervous are you? Are you waiting for google to bring the hammer down? Paul |

I've had it for a year, and I'm not nervous at all. The people who get canned aren't following the rules of Google, or are playing in a "gray" area. Apparently Al Gore even said that Google makes most of its money from Adsense, so they are not going to can anyone making them money if they are following the rules. |

I've been using adsense for several years now. I'm very careful but I know they could ban me at any time without a reason. I'm just enjoying the ride for as long as I can.

It seems at the moment... That totally legit sites are shut down by Google. Sites that have been around fo years with high quality original content and nothing even remotely black/gray hat. But... It looks as if Google doesn't like to see sites that use JUST AdSense as monetization! They seem to prefer sites where the visitor has a choice, such as an Amazon Widget or some extra affiliate offers or eBay feeds etc NEXT to AdSense. This way Google might want to get rid of purely made-for-adsense sites. | |

I have had it for over 6 years now. But I now have about 8 adsense sites which were just built this year.

I've had AdSense on many of my sites now for over 3 years. Obey the AdSense rules and follow Google's webmaster guidelines and you will be fine. Pay special attention to the Quality Guidelines at the bottom of this page: Webmaster guidelines - Webmasters/Site owners Help |

I would venture to say I might have been one of the first Adsense publishers. I got a pre-launch heads up from a guy I used to work with who lives out in CA. He knows a couple of Google insiders... at least I assume they're still working there. Anyway, I started putting up Adsense sites just about from Day 1. Some have done quite well, some have flopped, and most do fair-to-middlin'. Niche choice and keyword research are very important, but then the rubber meets the road based on CTR and traffic. Get both of those right and you will do well with Adsense. John |
