I am a little bit confused when it comes to profile links. If a home page has a high pr, but your profile page will never get any page rank does google still value it as a high quality link? There are so many sites with pr 3 and pr 4 that allow profiles is it worth making profiles on all of them? And if I have 30 sites should I be making 30 accounts on all of the communities?

No, the page that has your link on it is generally PR n/a no matter how much the people selling these things claim 'High PR'.

It's a low value backlink. That doesn't mean it doesn't have any value, it is still a backlink so it's worth a little something and having thousands of these do add up.

The whole deal (or spin) with getting your backlinks on sites that have a high PR is that google values that site so some of that authority will spill over to your n/a profile page. Also, due to the high PR, chances are google spiders the site more often and deeper so your backlink should be found.

These types of backlinks are incredibly easy to get since there are millions of sites and forums that allow users to sign up and create a profile. This is why so many people are pitching backlink packages... anybody with access to google and an hour to kill can dig up a hundred of 'em.

Are these backlinks better than having backlinks on pages with true PR, I don't think so.

Do people have success with these types of backinks, yes... but I believe you'll only find limited sucess if you stick to this style of backllinking. It seems to work best when you stick to low competition keywords or are willing to create thousands of these types of links.

And if I have 30 sites should I be making 30 accounts on all of the communities?

I typically stick to 4 per profile if I can, all on different IP's and not linking to each other. I have over 50 sites so sometimes I make multiple accounts but I literally have a list of thousands of these types of sites so I don't need to use the same ones repeatedly.

I am a strong believer is backlink diversification... use profile backlinks but also use other methods as well. Blog commenting, building feeder sites etc...

jasonmorgan is spot on. The profile link pages will have very little authority, but if you create a lot of profiles it can help.

You can also use a site like odesk and outsource this work for a couple of dollars an hour and spend your time on more important things.

I'm not telling everybody this because I'm in the business of selling profile links, but rather a user myself before I do this.

Someone just think that profile link is PR N/A or PR 0 and it doesn't carry any value, but I'm sorry to say this: They are wrong!

And why is that got to do with Profile link? Because High PR Domain carry some authority "trust" and link juice! At least from my personal experience, it works petty well!
