Hello Warriors, This issue is really turning me mad.. I started a new project that I rely upon for solving a critical financial situation, done what it takes to get it up, got a blog made, backlinks are being built, content is crafted, offers are posted, and just got myself absolutely dedicated for this project.. But all of this effort and money is still useless; and guess why? Because, for a reason only God knows, Google isn't indexing my posts!! I bought a ready made blogs with some posts on it, and these posts are already indexed by Google, I made some tweaks to the bolg, among these tweaks I changed the permalink structure to the SEO friendly suggested format, and installed permalink migration plugin to redirect the old permalinks to the new ones I submitted a sitemap to Google webmasters tools, made sure of all the setting so that nothing limity the access of the robots.. I tried to make everything ok. but Google isn't indexing them yet!!!! The new posts hae been there for 4 days by now, I know some of you will see this a short time, but if you know that have submitted the posts to Digg, and they ve been already INDEXED on Digg, but not yet on the blog, you'll understand why I'm concerned. For an already indexed blog, with all the SEO required plugins (including xml sitemap), it's a bit long for Google to take 4 days to index a post, especially if this post is already indexed on Digg and linked back.. I don't know what to do, the core of this project is to drive organic traffic, and it's hold for the wait of Google bless!!! I'm really starting to reconsider this whole business , you should when you find all plans is relying upon a decision of an idiot bot with no clear standards!!! Really pissed off and can't figure what to do!!! |

It is a wordpress blog? If so, did you disable the privacy so that the wordpress install allows the Search Engines to Find it?

Site with more links get indexed faster. You need an awful lot of links and page rank to get indexed every four days. You need to be more patient, as it can take a few weeks for them to index if you are just starting out.

certainly do not give up... instead find the problem then solve it. It could be the privacy thing as mentioned by Jeremy Kelsall, but continue to build links. We've all experienced the Google Dance, and maybe that is what you're seeing. Also, what kind of ping list do you have? You might consider adding a few.

Get a worthy backlink now. Choices: 1. Signature link in WarriorForum 2. Signature Links from any relevant reputed Forums 3. Buy a relevant blogpost from a blog with atleast PR4+. Post should contain 500+ words and only 1 link 2 your site. 4. Buy a sitewide link from a relevant high PR website Wait a day and smile! |

There is no money in porn! (I mean IM, that's it ) give up! Honestly, google does not have to index you at all. New pages can take minutes to years to be indexed. Or if Google does not like them they can never show up in the index.Google or any other search engine does not have to index any of your sites or pages if they choose not to. Re's Rob Whisonant |

There's no guaranteed way to get into Google quick. Have you tried to setup a Squidoo lens with links to your main site to create traffic? Google likes Squidoo pages, and this can/will boost your listing.

Have you linked to your pages on the blog? Submit every one to digg, stumbleupon, reddit. mixx etc. Submit your blog RSS feed to fifty RSS directories: 55 Active RSS Directories to Help Promote Your RSS Feeds! Also check for crazy things like: 1. Are the posts actually visible, they are not set private for example? 2. Check your htaccess file and robots.txt - make sure nothing is blocking spidering. |

You're making the same mistake that I have been making the last couple of weeks - putting all your eggs in one basket by depending on Google. My sites have been dancing like crazy, and new ones have been taking 1 week and more to get indexed. Build backlinks, social bookmark it, submit the RSS feed etc and don't stress! By putting so much importance in the search engines(whether it be getting indexed or your actual ranking) you are giving away some of your power, and by getting stressed it will hurt your motivation(at least, that's been the case with me). Build some backlinks, chill and what will be will be Also, and perhaps most importantly - drive traffic through other methods. The best of luck |

I started a site on October 23, and did some bookmarking the next day and the day after. I also built some profile links etc. It took google till 1st of November to index it.

Go browse your site with lynx Yellowpipe - Lynx Viewer It will show your site pretty much like the search engines show it. If you see your pages in lynx, so can the search engines. Sometimes some sites take longer than others. That's just the way it is.

who you hosted with? have you made sure that WP is set to have search engines crawl your pages? have you installed the all-in-one-seo-plugin? have you got this in your all-in-one-seo-plugin header tag areas for index page, and article pages? Code: <meta name="robots" content="index, follow" /> <meta name="googlebot" content="index, follow" /> <meta name="msnbot" content="index, follow" /> <meta name="search engines" content="Aeiwi, Alexa, AllTheWeb, AltaVista, AOL Netfind, Anzwers, Canada, DirectHit, EuroSeek, Excite, Overture, Go, Google, HotBot. Dont worry mate the Bot sometimes takes longer to index pages I think this is done to stop spammers and thats why the bot does not have routine as such other wise it would make it easier for spammers, Just build good content and carry building 1-100 backlinks a day and you should be fine! Good luck with your project but dont give up its apart of being on the net as Internet marketer! |

It has always taken 7 days from the time I submit my sitemap to google in the webmaster tools to get my index page indexed. That is just the index, it can longer for the rest of the pages.

With WP blogs I get indexed within 1 day provided I haven't left the Fantastico default privacy setting on. My main trick is to use Google Webmastertools and Analytics, where Google gives you some <meta...> code or some such that you put in your head or body segments. Then, you go to a page where Google has a little "verify" button, and you click it. Google _immediately_ checks your site for that included code, and says "hey we found you!". On that same page, after they say they found you, they have a "Why is my site not indexed" and they explain that it can take some time before they actually spider you. However, after I've gone through this procedure, my site is _always_ indexed within 1 day. |

If your blog constantly updating new content, you can "train" the spider to index your site a lot faster!! My site got index every day, because I've been posting content to it (from article directory), each and every day! Try this method if you want your content get index often. |

Many of the social submissions and RSS submissions I made for these posts are alreadly crawled by Google, but not my blog! Is there any chance that I have something on my blog preventing the crawl? I checked everything, I found nothing significant.. Does changing permalink structure may cause such a harm?

To see if the bots have been to your site, pull down your web logs from your isp and look for "googlebot" in the logs. If it's there you'll see what page(s) they have crawled. Assuming you have the blog set to be indexed as several others pointed out and if the googlebot is crawling your pages, it's only a matter of time. I know you said this a matter of financial importance for you. If it's really that important pick up a 2nd job or something you can count on. You can't count on IM short term, it's something you build up over time, with a lot of work. You wouldn't start your own business this week in hopes that you'd have money next, this is no different. |

It seems that there's something big with Wordpress lately should be explored.. Yesterday, I deleted the robots.txt (I double checked it before and I know it was fine all the time), and built a new one following to the word the stompernet video instructions. Then , I deactivated the "WP super cashe" plugin, deleted the .htaccess that it generated.. And guess what??? Within 2 hours, I got the first post of the new one indexed by Google!!! But, since then, nothing new.. But I know now there was something to be fixed, not sure if I have fixed it completely or not.. And by the way, did any one have problems with the revolutionary church theme before? I suspect it to have a role in this miss

What do you mean "index page" and "article pages"? In my blog, the all-in-one-seo has text boxes for "additional post headers" "additional page headers" "additional home headers" . Do you mean to put your <meta... posts in each of those three boxes?

Since it was only the first post it might be going in order of posts, which means the next one should be indexed soon, then the next, etc. Or you could have flipped the magic switch and everything is fixed now. You'd have to test it out on several different sites to be sure.

Google is just software. Not people that are not indexing your posts. People like to blame Google. But the blame is usually with something on your end, your configuration, your isp, your patience, etc. it's like accidentally bumping your head on a door jamb and blaming the door for being there. Until there are people intentionally looking at your site and preventing it from being indexed you should always look at what might be causing the problem on your end. |
