Wooooo Hoooo!!! First sale on day 2!

Sorry guys, I am so excited. I know it's only 1 sale and the net loss so far is only like $10, maybe things will pickup after a few changes, if necessary and more PPC advertising!
But this is my very first stab at this whole thing and glad to see it can work if you put the effort into it!!

Just make sure you wrote down what you done so you can repeat what you just did, this will help you replicate it and remember what you did

Great advice, butters - to write down the steps you take and replicate what works. Written down it becomes a system you can tweek when necessary to make the system a better one.

Thanks guys for the advice. I will do just that and take notes to see what works and what doesn't. This may have been pure luck but it's a start.

A sale means nothing until the threshold is reached and the check has cleared the bank. Not trying to temper your excitement but whatever you did to make that first one you'll need to keep doing.

Congrats!! Great start. But do remember that ROI (return on your investment) is always positive. Sometimes it can become additive and some people even experience the same thing that happens to gamblers. They loose a lot of money but then when they win again (after losing many times) they feel good and forget the money they lost. Just talking from experience. I am happy for you - i think everyone can make money at this game if they are diligent, careful and work hard.

Thanks all. I do plan on continuing to focus on improvement and managing the Campaign very carefully. Even if another sale or 2 comes through and the costs continually outweigh the proceeds, I will surely put on the brakes and analyze the situation.
Best part is, I have come to enjoy researching other people's products and learning how to build a website. To me that was the fun part of the whole thing.

Congratulations, keep a careful eye on those costs though. If the product converts well start looking at ways to get free traffic to your pages as well. You can get quick results with articles and videos for a start.

Hi John,

Yes, it was PPC on Google Adwords. I got a 2nd sale on Day 2 also. I made what I think was an initial mistake of NOT turning off the content network. After I did that, the # of useless clicks (throwing away money) came down hard. I am going to keep the content network off until I see better sales.

I just built a website with a landing page and did all of the Privacy Policy, Site Map, Contact Us stuff that Google wants you to do in order to get a good quality score. But as many of the keywords on the pages as I could with links.

Thing is the 2 sales have only come from 1 keyword, broken out into the 3 types. I haven't even mustered multiple keywords yet.

It took me eons with my normal day job to get this first site up and running because of all of the time I needed to spend reading these forums and researching how to do all of this.

I am still in the hole in profit but only by just a little bit. Maybe that's not bad from only 1 keyword. I am going to do this same thing with other keywords and see what happens.
I will let you know how things go.

Hi Dot,

I am watching the costs like a hawk. If I don't get anymore sales in the next few days, I will put the Campaign on halt and figure out how to tweak it.

Yes, I am trying to figure out how to get free traffic to the website. The only thing I've done so far is "Ping" the major search engines everytime I update the blog.

If any of you guys have any better idea on how to get free traffic to the site, please let me know.

I will always be able to say, that my very first PPC sales came from selling a product to treat HEMORRHOIDS!!!!

I figured why not give it a good on a product that you know people are researching due to something so uncomfortable and embarrassing.

	Printer manufacturers rip us off, save money on your printing costs and refill toner cartridges instead. Besides save money and play online roulette it's a better way to waste money.
