Hi Y'all
I would appreciate opinions on this Adwords question. You have three ads for a single phrase match keyword. After roughly 16,000 Im. and 900 clicks the ads CTRs are about four, five and six percent respectively. You want to improve on the 6%er. Do you pause or delete the two lower performers and work on variations of the best ad? Leave all three running and work on variations of the best performer? Or?? Thanks a bunch! |

With 16000 impressions and 900 clicks you can be fairly certain that 6% is the winner, however go to the following site, plug in your stats to get the confidence level on the winning ad
:::SplitTester.com::: pause the 4% and 5% ads - don't delete them / edit them - if you do you will lose all the click history for those ads. create variations of the 6% ad and split test again. Unless you care only about the clicks, you should factor in which ad is converting best along with the CTR. |

In total agreement with Blitzian. Pause, don't delete or edit them. Test more ads. You don't need 900 clicks, just 30 for each ad will do. But also factor your conversion rate as well. That 5% might be better than the 6% if the conversion is higher.
