Default Alternatives to Adsense

I have a website that gets a large amount of traffic and would like to make more money with advertising. I make so little with adsense even with my good traffic. Has anybody found any good alternatives?

depend on your niche and where your traffic come from, if you get decent traffic from SE you can consider using affliate like amazon and clickbank. if your niche is something in economic or computer or health area you can consider to using infolinks.

There are a three probable reasons why would wouldn't be making money with Adsense if you're getting traffic.

1. You're getting social referral traffic rather than search traffic. If at least 85% of your traffic isn't from Google/Yahoo/Bing you probably won't make money with Adsense. Search visitors click ads, social visitors don't.

2. You're not getting buying traffic but infotainment traffic. Visitors are looking to be entertained or informed, not to buy something. For example, if your primary search term is "Funny Furniture Videos" people who find your site won't be likely to click ads, but, if the term is "Cheap Furniture Deals" then they'll be likely to click ads.

3. You've picked a low paying niche. In some cases, Adsense isn't a good fit because they don't payout well for the term for one reason or another. You could try targeting more profitable niches or find a program that's a better match for your traffic.
