Strategies for obtaining SEO clients

As an SEO do you have process you go through to attract your clients. Obviously I do not expect people to spill their secrets on how they get clients, but what methods have people found the most successful?

Cold calling? cold emailing? face-to-face networking?

Also, which industries have you found most receptive to SEO?

Learn how to optimize your website for both reader and search engine, basic formula:

1. A - Attractive Headlines (With keyword optimized!)
2. I - Trigger reader's Interest to know more
3. D - Write compelling benefit and promote the reader's Desire to use your product or service!
4. A - Finally use "call to Action" and tell the reader what to do!

All writing must be keyword optimized but look natural!

Takes a lot of time to mastered...

Yeah, I think he was meaning offline consulting clients.

I'd like to see what others are doing too.

Try doing a craigslist ad for your area and arrange an in-person meeting with your clients.

Lots of people are looking to go online to get more business, but it all comes down to your meeting with potential clients where you'll either get the job, or get a "we'll think about it and get back to you..."
