Hello people, I've searched a bit on this forum already before and had found a good video on how to get it indexed. Now I would say I am still a newbie in terms of SEO and I have subscribed to Angela's & Paul's backlinks. I want to find out the quickest way to get indexed in Google, I've been trying commenting on blogs and leaving my profile links and they have really really worked! Google have cached them but ofcourse they take too much time considering if you're working on Paul's packets as well. I've tried creating a rss feed from icerocket and using RSS-Submit and RSSBot both to get my feeds subscribed to the aggregators. But so far nothing has happened, it's been I mean 4-5 days. Or should I wait more? One more thing, I am seeing that Digg, Propeller etc sites are very good for getting indexed and is one way to get your profiles indexed as well but just wondering whether these hugely popular sites will allow my profiles to stick in there? I mean they don't have any content apart from my personal details etc. And how to get them on the front page since I think that only front page sites gets crawled quickly? Right? Please guide me, I've never been into Social Bookmarking ever. Thanks |

You might want to get a few web 2.0 properties together and leave two links per site. The two links would be going to the profile link pages.

Some people uses "pinging" in order to get indexed fast by crawlers on certain pages.

or put ALL your profiles on one page as links and add some content on it, thensubmit RSS feeds to that page, backlink to that page from a new forum thread, whatever you can to lead the spiders there. once they get there links to all your profiles will be ready to be picked up and crawled all over. The spiders might still not pick up your profile links, so make sure to add some content to it too. Use Icerocket.com to create an RSS to use as feed and submit it to feed agregators. feedage and millionrss are two you can get started with. |

First of all, thanks for your replies people ![]() Yeah I forgot to mention that I do individually ping those profiles using pingler and ping-o-matic, yet not good result and I've pinged the RSS feed as well. @bigcat1967: Please elaborate buddy, web 2.0 properties? @Edge88: You mean to say that to put up all profile links in an already indexed profile? And use the RSS feed like some websites do offer personal rss feeds option with profiles. And yeah I've been using Icerocket and then using it to submit on RSS Submit and RSSBot. One thing about RSS Submit is that it won't read the Icerocket's URL properly. It'll skip the end numbers which is very main to get our feed identified, thats why I convert them to FeedBurner and then do it while RSSBot works simply perfect. |

| For what it's worth, after creating an RSS feed with all your profile links using html2rss or icerocket, you can then submit this RSS feed to most social networks.

Hmm...social networks. @kkchoon Yeah social bookmarks do help but I just get confused over it, I mean I just have got profiles and no content so won't those links will get banned etc? Social bookmarks would do great help if you've wrote a new article on your blog but just curious about getting profiles on bookmarking sites and sites like Digg or Propeller usually have a rating system and their 2nd page doesn't get much indexed so you've got to be on the front page to get indexed. This confuses me a lot. |

If you happen to know such method, please let me know, I will test it on my site and then kill all my competitors! ![]() ![]() There are many type of bookmarking sites, pligg and scuttle happens to be one of them, just need some high PR authority sites, because these sites often visited by Google bot, and they tend to lead the spider to your profile page faster! I usually would just ping my links, easier to accomplished! Kok Choon

I have found that Google Webmaster Tools (Google SE) records more of my profile backlinks than Yahoo. Check that out to see if the links have been noted by Google yet.

Hmm..so I should start using up SocialBot more often as it's designed to be a semi-automatic bookmarking tool It has all the sites and I should invest more time in signing up for a/cs and lets see what happens. What say? Because it has scuttle sites and many more. And yeah you ping them daily? I mean I had pinged them some 4-5 days ago and still no result. I pinged RSS feed and all profiles individually. @Fraggler I am going to test that out now. Thanks.

I don't ping the profiles individually. I take 20-30 of them and create an rss feed using Ice Rocket and I then ping the rss feed and submit it to rss aggregators. I also bookmark it at Digg and put it through Bookmarking Demon. I haven't focused on these types of links too much but I'm going to create about 1500 in the next week or so we'll see how they go. |

If I social bookmark my site, I will send it to ping as well. I don't ping RSS feeds, they are crawled by Google much more often, not really helping.

ahh, I made an RSS feed and put it into some aggregators 2 days ago. as of today, the aggregator's site with my feed is indexed but my press release isn't. also, the subcategory page on prlog.com is indexed, with my press release being the first link there, and the press release still isn't indexed. (not to mention that i have about 70 forum profiles indexed and showing in SERPs but the backlinks on those are not helping me at all or even showing up anywhere) I could swear google is onto me... |

I have to ask, how do you know your profile not yet index? Usually, I just ping all my profile links, and track my keywords and articles with a software, check back every week to see the movement. 3 weeks after the backlinks, my articles will raise to page 2 if not 1! That's all I do, I never bother to go through so much trouble... Just keep building links !Quote:

I also have the same problem. It's not only profile pages; I also build links with web2.0 pages, free hosted blogs, articles, videos, etc. I ping them, bookmark them (from dozens of accounts) and create html2rss feeds for them, and yet, 3/4 of them are not indexed. I also experience the problem of having a page indexed (blogspot), but the links in the post are not crawled and the hubs/blogs that it links to are not indexed. This is a big issue for me, since I distrubute a great amount of content to build links, and often create web2.0 pages for the web2.0 pages... I have hundreds of hubs/profiles/article out there, and I need a fast and reliable way to index them. I also don't want to bundle 5-10 profiles/hubs and link to them from the same web2.0 properties, as I'm afraid of leaving a huge footprint. @kkchoon, it surprises me that pinging and RSS submissions work so well for you. They work for indexing my own blogs (on my domains) but not for hubs or profiles. Even my youtube videos are not indexed. BTW, to check if indexed, I usually search Google for [site:username.weebly.com] when I have a subdomain, or [site:livejournal.com "a sentence from my article"] when I don't have a subdomain. @Edge88, I know how you feel.. isn't it strange that multiple pages or posts are indexed, but the links in them are not crawled? @Pat Jackson, are you happy with Bookmark Demon? Anybody with a solid advice? Thanks, Guy |

A lot of those social sites don't work for indexing because all the links are nofollowed now or they get so many submissions the spiders take forever to find your site. Your best net is to get a few links on old, popular sites that already get indexed alot such as a popular niche blog. |

@sousen, I bookmark all my hubs/web2.0 pages on multiple bookmarking sites, using multiple accounts on each. Still not indexed. @nextdayflyers, I'm only talking about pages with do-follow links of course. Also, I have a brand new blogspot blog that got indexed, but the pages it links to (do-follow) are not indexed, so it can't be an issue of spiders not finding them, if they found the blospot... Thank you all, Guy |

| Since they upgraded it I haven't been using it as much simply because the proxy feature doesn't work correctly. I've spoken with their customer support a fair bit and they are trying to fix it. I have heaps of accounts at each site so obviously I can't use the one ip address, but if they figure it out then yeah, the software will be great. |

I wouldn't pay too much attention to this, it's on Google hands, they will decide the speed, not us. Just do what you need to do, leave this to Google. I said it many times, I don't bother to check my backlinks, I look at my keyword ranking, track all articles' position is enough for me. Quote:

@kkchoon: Thanks. I know I need a lot of link juice, that's why I'm trying to get my profile pages, web2.0 pages and videos indexed... What tools/methods do you use to bookmark? What do you use to submit RSS feeds? Do you bookmark to dozens of different accounts, or just to a handful of "cultivated" accounts? |

Signature Links If you belong to a high traffic, popular discussion forum (on any topic) that gets indexed frequently (some every 5 minutes, like this forum) then you can do this... In your signature file, you can link to your new sites like so... ★ st0necol > I like this, that and the other... And then you will just wrap a hyperlink around each period or punctuation. The hyperlink will go to the site you are trying to get indexed. I've tried digg, propeller, yahoo answers, etc, etc, but this is by far the most effective means of getting your sites indexed quickly. The added bonus is that as people respond to your posts, you are getting instant backlinks, so your site will debut with several backlinks without effort. As you add new sites, just edit your sig and rotate the links > out with the old, in with the new :-) I get site's indexed and ranked in as little as a few hours to 5 days with this method and its the only thing I do now.

I have personally found that my LinkPack profile links are indexed usually within a week using Steve's software - ie creating an RSS feed using icerocket.

Thats a great idea but make sure the forum software doesn't automatically underline URLs otherwise your signature with "." "," and smilleys will look very obvious :-) Quote:

Yes, make sure that post links are stealth, in look and appearance... I wrap the punctuation elements in a small font size tag and a color that matches the text. This will take up available character count, but its better to use less links for better longevity of your sig... Only keep about 3-5 sites active on your sig at one time...

I think perhaps the other factors affecting the ranking are quite a bit more significant than the few forum backlinks created as an outgrowth of the indexing technique. By "other factors" I mean on-site SEO, exact match domain for the search term and LSI richness of the page's content... In addition to the fact that the page I'm presenting to G is simply a solid fit for the search request and its very hard for their algo to NOT present the page to the user, and very prominently :-)

There are a few options for RSS submission tools. The best standalone tool is Big Mike's (Incansoft) RSSbot. There are a few different more comprehensive programs (which do a lot of things), like SENuke and Brute Force SEO, that have a RSS module built into them.

Sorry guys for disappearing, this has been a busy week. I am doing work on my profiles with creating RSS feeds and submitting them and also yesterday did some experiment with digg and the page was cached hehe although my profile still isn't indexed. I want to ask you guys, how do you make your RSS feeds less spammy looking and better? I mean on IceRocket, I usually put the 'Keyword' in title and description with the profile url having exact keyword in it. And now using HTML2RSS for multiple creation of URLs but it uses just 1 title for all 10-20 sites you put in that feed. Like all urls in the feed have same title 'Profiles' Is it good or dangerous in terms of Google crawling? Will they still get indexed or Google bot will find it any spammy feed. Just confused on this issue. A big thanks to everyone who contributed in this post |

And yeah would like to ask from Kkchoon, is it a good idea to bookmark like 100-200 profiles together using Socialbot ? Won't it look like a spam attack to those bookmark sites or should I go slowly with them? I am at the moment, focusing on creating RSS feeds and submitting them and then will move to pinging those feeds and then socially bookmark them. It's been pending for a long time now hehe ![]() UPDATE : I got the idea and now playing on IceRocket with getting my keyword in the Title of every entry and using the Title of Profile Page as the description. Is that a good idea? |
