Default Getting Traffic to Autoblogs

Hey guys. Recently I've been starting to create some autoblogs, mostly for fun. I'm pulling content from Amazon and automatically posting products as blog posts.

How do you guys get traffic to your autoblogs? Do you mostly get just trickles of traffic from the longtail keywords that happen to be in the posts? In that case I guess just a hot niche and a lot of posts would bring you significant traffic?

Or do you build a lot of backlinks to the main keyword of the whole site and get most of the traffic from that? Like on this site http://bestbabydolltoys.com I'm targeting the phrase "baby doll toys". Would I write a lot of articles with backlinks using that anchor text? Make web 2.0 properties linking back using that main keyphrase?

Thanks for any tips. Really it's new to me so I'm just kind of curious what direction to take it.

your competition looks pretty tough, but with exact match .com it wont be long before your on the first page. I suggest writing around 5 articles and spinning them. Then you just submit one to a web 2.0 or article directory daily. Link to internal posts and your main page at random. Also vary the anchor text (use your keyword around 60% of the time, other times use the url as the anchor, use related keywords, and once in a while use "click here"). If you don't want to write articles you can always just grab from the net and spin it. With autoblogs you try and get traffic from long tail mostly I would think, but in your case you will probably get more traffic to the main page.

Great niche Few competitors, soc looks great

I'd pull in articles on your site, you tube if there is any, everything you can. And, if you want, submit an article to ezine. Make an RSS feed, submit that.

I presume you are leaving the best out and optimizing for the rest of the phrase, right?

Good luck!

Warmly,

Brandi

P.S. Friendly advice, don't give away your niches here- unless it's someone you trust.

Just a note...

It's really the same as the adsense thing in your signature.

Don't change a profitable thing.

Same way, you'd get traffic to a regular blog. Bookmark, Ping, Submit RSS, blog commenting, etc...
