Default Tracking Keyword Help!

Hello,

I am running a PPC campaign through Yahoo Search Marketing, and am tracking the clicks for it through Xtreme Conversions.

However I am having sales from one particular 'partner site' and Xtreme Conversions is not recording the search term that triggered that click. Now, I don't believe this is an issue with XC itself, but more of an issue of how to track keywords if they don't come from the main search engine itself.

How can I find out which keywords are triggering clicks on this partner site?

Thanks if anyone can help!

Steve.

Sorry, but how will the adwords keyword tool help?

That is a keyword research tool and I am on about tracking which keywords trigger my ad through a partner website.....

Hi there,

I used Adwords PPC and had to install my custom built tracker which tracked what keywords passed a long to a sale. Does Yahoo pass along any variables to your target urls which you can grab and track? Can you set each keyword to go to it's own url like adwords does?

Might be an easier way to do this but here is an option.

First, you need a site tracking system, I use statcounter.com,

On the site that is making the sales, look at your stats for traffic around the same time the sale was made.

Now you can follow that persons path through your page, find out where they came from, what keywords they used to reach your site ect...

The more tarffic you have the harder this is but it'll give you some insight into the minds and habits of your visitors.

Synthesize me, And reboot, I need to start again, I need to make it different

Thanks for the advice guys!

The problem is that the sales are not coming from my website, but from a partner website on the YSM network.....so I don't have acccess to their server logs

Oh well, I guess it might just not be possible to track this one.
