Hiding my Links in Google Adwords (legally) :/

Hello All

New to the form, looking forward to learning and helping.

I am using Clickbank to sell affiliate products. This is a tough market, but I need to understand this space, so I am digging in and taking it slow. But the one thing that's been bothering me senseless is:

How do I cloak my Clickbank affiliate links in Adwords? When someone clicks on my ad and arrives at the merchant URL my Clickbank ID is in the URL:

merchantwebsitegoeshere dot com/?hop=myid

I have tried to use cloaking methods everyone recommends, for example the .php page with the url in the page:

[< ? header("Location:affiliate link goes here");
exit;
? >]

But even this does not work. When someone clicks on the link and end up on the merchant site, the Clickbank ID remains in the URL.

What can I do to hide my CB ID completely when someone arrives on the merchant page via my Adwords ad?

hmm. nothing, i guess, unless the the merchants web site is under your control.

The merchant could do something, like rewriting the url (again) ... and stripping off all variables ...

The question is WHY would you like to have it your way?

Nothing. There must be something one can do...

Do not quite follow you on the question:

WHY I want it my way?

I want it this way so that another person with a Clickbank account do not simply clear their coockies and type in their own Clickbank ID and I lose the commision.

If the person clicking on my adwords ad arrives at the merchant page and only sees the merchant URL without any hoplinks at the end my conversion goes up.
