Hi there, I set up my website cindaclothing co.uk a good month ago. Since then I have been using facebook, twitter, digg etc etc. I have also submitted news articles, answered relevent questions to my keywords on messageboards etc etc. Im specifically targeting "Flower Girl Dress" I can see that google has indexed my site a few times... Does anyone have any general idea when I might see some results. I can see that many of the sites within my niche are not doing any daily SEO - but have existed for a number of years. Any suggestions would be greatly achieved. Thank you |

When I click on "Cache" - its showing it was last looked at on the 7th of November. At this point it should have indexed?

To check if your page is in the index, use "page-title site:domainname.com", if you found the result page, it is indexed, else you should bookmark your page with socialbot or BMD, or simply do it yourself.

I am using an adwords campain -- and yes, it is bringing in some sales. Now that my site has indexed.. and if I keep submitting creating links etc. Does anyone have any idea how long it will be before I get some kind of a rank on the keywords Im using. |

Well I can't see your website, so I can really comment on the on page stuff, but I will say one thing..flower girl dress looks quite tough...So really you need to be doing some aggressive seo work...maybe 3 - 9 months you should be ok, maybe quicker but I think you have quite a lot of work to do

allintitle: flower girl dress search in Google to view how many competing pages you have. When I check it says 612 000 That is a massive amount of competition. Do you have the keywords "flower girl dress" in your domain name? If not - it is going to help a lot.

Could I buy for example Flower-Girl-Dress.com and then point it at my store at dns level? just like how the D.I.Y firm bandq.com is also diy.com Is doing things like that a good idea?

You don't need to change your domain name in order to rank for your keywords, although a keyword rich domain name will help. Here is what you can do to get some rankings. Add an H1 tag including the words "flower girl dress" + where it says: "Hello and welcome to Cinda Clothing"...make that paragraph revolve around "flower girl dress" it doesn't need to be long but it should contain the keyword once. Back up your site with a blog - Create a blog and make sure it has a category with the keywords "flower girl dress". then head over to the google keyword tool and type in flower girl dress...sort by relevance and use those 3 - 5 first keywords as post titles (you'll need to make a post/article for every one of those keywords) make sure you link back to the home page with the anchor text "flower girl dress" from within those posts and include the keywords in your posts. 1 time for every 100 words is fine. Just make sure you add a word or two to the begining or ending of those titles. Things to fix: You have to many posts with the same title: Cinda Clothing - (Powered by CubeCart) make each post title unique and use relevant words. Cinda Clothing should be last. Example for a title you want to have: Flower Girl Dress Selection | Cinda Clothing But make sure you don't repeat them. Always remember that google really cares about relevancy. if you don't include your targeted keywords on your page and write about them a few posts how will google know that your site is about Flower Girl Dress??? There are more factors you need to consider but I suggest you first do that. Setting up a blog is easy, and quick there are loads of tutorials on how to optimize it. Include a link from your home page to your blog as well. Cheers and good luck!
