This means everyone got to start making changes and optimizing their web pages. A lot of blogs have advertising and these connects to different networks which will slow loading of the page. The article is here: Google will factor page load speed into search result rankings Get to work people! |

I have a graphics site (in my sig) I don't make money on it, all the adsense income (what little there is) goes to charity. every page has 99 previews of between 150-20,000 KBs. Needless to say, it loads slow. Still it is on page 1 on Google for over 100 keywords. (with very little content). so while speed is a consideration, there are many other factors with much more weight than that. (I think) *the page with the most rank and keywords on page one on the site is the page that loads the slowest!* (of course that could be why it is still a PR2 after 4 years with only one page at PR3 and not the home page, but one with very large preview images). Not necessarily... If you have the google tool bar they still show it... I think that google does not want webmasters to obsess over what their PR is and therefore they are pulling it from their webmaster tools. I still think however that it is going to play an important role in their algorithm.
