Default {SEO?} Duplicate Content Penalties = The entire domain or just some pages?

Hi All,

I'm considering using some 'White-Hat' duplicate content (i.e. Temporarily using RSS auto-content on some test blogs), so I can get several blogs up and running at once.

Then, I'll make a transition to creating 100% original content for all new posts.

  • These will *not* be blatant spam-blogs attempting to create 1000's of shady back-links, so I'm not expecting any of the domain names to be banned.

Does anyone know solid facts about Google's feared duplicated content penalties? Do only individual pages lose search engine rankings, or the entire domain, from the root on down?
