How fast do you guys build your backlinks ??

Hi guys,
Just a quick question for you all, I`m now starting to get some success, choosing the right keywords, getting my sites indexed quick, getting to the second page of google all quite easy although its took me months of trial and error to get to this stage.

But now i have a few sites sitting on page 2 of google i want to bomb them with all the great WSO on backlinking that i`ve bought along with some other tools i have to create backlinks, but i`m just not sure how fast i should do this i keep fearing about being `sandboxed` and dropped by google for building links too fast ect ect..

So can i ask you how fast i should build backlinks ?? How many a day is safe ?? I mean these WSO build 100`s in a day along with article submitters submitting to 100`s of directories.

So how many backlinks in a day can anybody advise a safe number ??

Hey Jim, a lot of times it takes awhile for backlinks to even "register" or "show up" as linking back to your site. I would advise to tread carefully, but it wouldn't hurt to start off strong and pyramid down. Just check your position daily and monitor if/how quickly you're moving up in the engines.

Try to keep the number at 10-20 backlinks a day would be safe, I tried Angela Backlinks before and I added 50 backlinks a day. My blog ranking dropped to 3rd page instead of 1st page after 2 days, it's what we call Google Dance. But to avoid this, try to minimize the number of backlinks a day.

I disagree... if this is true, CNN and many authority site would be dropped by Google

Just keep your link much more consistent, if you build 100 today, keep it 20%+- everyday, do it for a week or 2, should minimize the dance!

If you are building quality and relevant backlinks than every numbers are good. Just imagine an article on hkkp://www.engadget.com/ and hundrends of people link to them immediately so any negative effect on engadget ... No.

So just keep in mind that your backlinks should come from relevant websites and this will give you maximum benefit.

Links from relevant site seems to give you direct targeted traffic, but doesn't really carry much weight in SEO.

Still not sure the relationship, should test it thoroughly!

what you need to think of here 'is your link building looking natural' ?

Image if you buy some wso's of links ie.. 750 of them and go through and blast out all the links over 2 days then do nothing for the rest of the month.. the next month you do the same... To google this doesnt look natural with spikes appearing on 1/2 days then nothing for long periods.

You need to be taking these 750 links and spread them out during the month to give a more even link building profile which looks more natural..

Don't bomb them and they won't bomb you.

If you are going for an uncompetitive term, you should not need too many links. If term is competitive, build links slowly and vary the kind of links (SB, blogs, directories, articles, etc.).

I like the 20+ a day approach. It's not too stressful and good if you are starting out new.

It really doesnt matter... I've done hundreds a day to 5 the next day then none for a week without any bad results..

If backlinking could hurt you then people would be building links to competing sites.

Also think if you got your site on the front page or on national radio, you could potentially get thousands very quickly and of course you would not be penalised..

make sure your building your back links gradually. If your writing your content for google, then its not smart to get 100s of links all of a sudden....slowly, but surely will have the best effect.

In as much as consistent link building is vital, you also do not have to over do it. Google prefers you build you link slowly instead of the automated ways. Atleast 10 to 25 link daily at bad.

I say to be active with link building you just need to do say 3+ per day. Some days maybe 3 (especially if you are working on multiple sites) and others you might build say 10 - 15 links.

I don;t think there is a magic number. Just a natural number that needs to be realistic for the site / niche in question.

Really super duper fast. Dropped about 100 just today. Speed is not in issue, quality is. There is a misconception that you need to build links slowly. Not true. If you can get your site on the front page of MSN, Yahoo, or any major publication you'll get a whole lot of links really fast. Or you could just believe the myth and work at a snails pace and not get anything done.

If I could build a million quality links a day I'd do it.

If you create something that is of great quality make sure you ask a few friends to tag it for you. If your site gets on the front page of Digg or on the Del.icio.us popular list, hundreds more bloggers will see your site, and potentially link to it.

Wow, I wish I had a million links a day ! Although I have yet tried too many links a day (1,000?), but I don't think few thousands link a day would hurt you!
