Default One thing I've noticed about this forum

There's an awful lot of talk and no action.

Anyone who sits and reads this forum all day looking or the golden egg. Don't!

Pick a niche
Do your keyword research
Write Articles
Build backlinks
Set up web 2.0 properties

Dont sit here and talk about doing it. Worry how its all coming together when you have the above elements ready

Just my 2p and the reason for it, is I'm as guilty as everyone else

I've fallen into that trap before, but I've find something that works for me - I have the WF constantly open in a tab, but I don't click it until I have completed each task. I browse and post in my 10-15 min breaks I have throughout the day It works for me

hey kkchoon

I am not a marketer per se. I read tis forum so i know what to do and what I shouldnt but I outsource my work also.

However,

The amount of time I spend here, I decided to make that count on articles and blogs.

I am a brand new offline business and in reality taking a plunge in the online market.

Kaizen Print and Marketing is the domain. But its only live 7 days in its current format.

I have spent the past 6 months reading and reading on here, which I know most people do. its just a case of doing rather than learning to do. and I suppose thats a whole business thing, not just IM.

I can't be more grateful in Warriorforum, many Warriors had tough me a lot of tips and tricks over the years, and I learn a lot faster when exchanging ideas and participate in some debates!

Just don't take those personally, we all here to learn, sharpen our knowledge and skill, and build some good reputation for long term business, agree?

Kok your completely right. This place is a gold mine, but you have to implement your knowledge for it to work.

Its more a warning to people than a criticism of here.

I do not know how it works where you are but I'm not starting anything new until the
01, Jan 2010 for tax reasons. After day 001, it's on like Donkey Kong. Anything between now and then is gravy.

I think the great thing about SEO is that you don't really know what the best path is for your niche, but any action is helpful over the long term.

Part of my experience here in the WF is realizing that there is so much information available, that it's better to pick one traffic generation/SEO method and give it a try. If it doesn't work, or if I don't like the work involved I can try a different choice of the 100+ talked about regularly.....action is always better then no action right?

More work less play!!

By the way, what are some other good Web 2.0 properties that I can setup besides hubpages?

I come in here for less than 10 minutes a day, so I'm not really a keyboard jockey as they call them.

Take action and Improve = Success!

Success is way too far from you if you don't improve what you are doing, obviously thousands of miles away if you don't even taking an action.

Yup, I've done that too...browsing the WF forum is an addiction to me and I seldom make a post though because if you make a post, then you tend to check on it for any responses...I plan my week and at least 2-3 days a week, I need to browse the forums and 90% of the time, I learned something new...so it is not really unproductive...
Anyways, I'm going back to working and updating my sites..

I can understand the sentiment, but I have to say that I've learned a lot to help improve on my SEO and Adsense strategies by reading posts in this and similar forums. I have been able to avoid quite a few costly mistakes (both in time and money) by reading many of the posts here! I consider reading posts here research, and set aside a certain amount of time each day to do research (although the bulk of my time is spent writing articles and optimizing my websites!).

I think that is very true. I think a lot of that is not being sure if the site will convert. I know its really hard to take a blind leap of faith and put in the time and not knowing if your efforts will bring your desired results.

Forums like this can be a very important learning tool, but all the education means nothing if it is not put in place. Make Warrior Forum a part of your day, but not the whole part of your day.

We have to keep a perfect balance; our industry is a turmoil, if you miss one big update your business could be affected.

On the other hand, It's very labor intensive, if you rest on your laurels and stop backlinking, building content, checking keywords, keep contact with subscribers... it can be bad for business also.

Get organized, devote a couple of hours to forums, news, an hour to educate yourself in new technologies or systems and the rest, work your *ss off!

to your success
