Wordpress and Ping-O-Matic

Hi,
I'm learning about the best way to handle feeds for my blog and I've read (here -- no surprise) about Ping-O-Matic.

Do I need to just submit my blog to Ping-O-Matic just once? Or is there a wordpress plugin or something I need to do let it know each time I post.

Also, does Ping-O-Matic cross-post with FeedBurner? Or is FeedBurner a separate issue?

You can add to the ping list if you want more complete coverage. Here is a commonly used ping list*:

FeedBurner will automatically check your feed for updates, but not as frequently as you may like.

Hi BeckM2,

Wordpress will automatically ping your updates, there is no need for a plugin, the pinging feature is built-in. The same folks who designed Wordpress also built Ping-O-Matic so it does the work for you and it's already setup to use Ping-O-matic by default. You can add other pinging services and it will ping those automatically as well.

Thank you both. So basically what I need to do is to add the pings above to my ping list and then be done. I just wanted to make sure that I was doing all that I could along the "RSS lines" for my site.
