How do you know your ranking?

Hi guys,

I was just wondering if you can find out where you rank in google for certain keywords?

E.G. Say I'm targeting the keyword cheesecake, can I find out where I come in the listings without trawling through the search pages?

GoogleRankings.com - Check Google page ranking (if you have a Google API code)

Google webmaster will tell you what keywords you ranked for in the last week if you have it installed on your site but only the top 10 I think

Multiple Datacenter Keyword Position Check - SEO Tools - Search Engine Optimization, Google Optimization let you check by datacenter. Not sure it works as it keeps timing out on me recently.

Rank Checker - Track Google, Yahoo! Search, & Microsoft Rankings Free is an add on for Firefox (if you aren't using FF you should be

Tools like Market Samurai will let you check rank and track them as well.

here is another one for the list
Page rank checker SEO SERP web tools
it'll give you multiple rankings in the top 1000 if you have more than one page that ranks for a keyword.

Has anyone had any problems using these tools with web2.0 sites? I like rank checker but I noticed it wouldn't even submit a link for a web2.0 property I was trying to check. I wonder if it's only good for short urls.

Forget most these online tools, it's a pain entering stuff in every day.

Free Monitor for Google - search engine position and web ranking seo software

That one is free, enter your sites and keywords then every morning 1 click to check them all.. It also shows you if you have risen or fallen for each keyword etc.

Simple, Fast and Free.

A second vote for the rank tracker feature in Market Samurai. I like the way it graphs history for backlinks, PR, and ranking in the big 3 search engines.
