Been away from SEO for some years and just getting back into the scene again. Could anyone tell me what current trends are for SEO ie what works and what no longer works. I have heard backlinks from directory's can be risky. If anyone could help or advice, I would be most obliged |

Crikey thats a big subject to ask a question on, there is an entire industry devoted to it! I recommend you start reading some of the reputable sites and blogs such as: seomoz.org seobook.com then go from there. I hope the SEo services in your signature are someone elses ! |

Well, Yahoo is still awful. ![]() There is some new link building methods popping up. Social bookmarking is getting bigger too. Article marketing still works if that helps. |

Not much has changed, keyword stuffing is still out, submitting to multiple directories in one go is still out, link farms are still out, hidden text is still out, cloaking is still out, duplicate content is still out, not concentrating on long tail phrases is still out, not choosing a niche that sells is out, not doing your keyword research is still out, not adding fresh content on a regular basis is still out. Basically if you write for humans to understand - google will like you and other people may like to link to you. Ta Barry |
