Default normal for your website to dissapear?

its like a 1-2 week old websites, ive built like 100 backlinks but only 3 have been seen so far according to yahoo site.

previously my site was on page 5 for the keyword, but now it's not, and it's not even indexed when I search for it. Is this normal? not really sure I've never had a website. I used angela and pauls links and a couple articles, that's about it, I don't know why I would be penalized or anything. I've heard of google dance but I'm not sure if being deindexed is a part of that.

Hi

When you say "not indexed" do you mean it does not appear if you search for it by entering the full URL into the search box?

Also, forget Yahoo etc. links take weeks, months or forever to appear in there. You may get a better picture of your links from Google Webmaster tools, but again, it may take months for them to appear.

For new sites, it is normal to get the Google dance in which your SERP fluctuates and sometimes disappears completely for days. But it usually still remains indexed so I'm surprised.

For new sites - G may sometimes put it in the sandbox. You may have done nothing wrong - but they put you in timeout just to make sure you are a legit site. Just keep on backlinking.

2 weeks is nothing really. doesn't sound like you are saying that the site is deindexed just that you don't see the links. I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep building as many backlinks as you can.

What I tend to do with new sites, is to buy a BOTW directory listing, together with Joe Ant and then mix that in with normal link building, and weekly article publishing. Those established directories, seem in my case to bring the G crawler around

I am in the same boat.
I waited 2 weeks for my site to index, then it finally got visited and sat at spot #7 for 2 whole days. then disappeared. It is definitely frustrating and at times nerve racking; but it is all the fun of Google keeping you on the edge of your seat, as long as your content and you build consistent back links (even just one a day), it will come back, at least in my experience.
