I am still amazed by the power of video. I'm pretty excited right now (and half asleep). My 8 week old website has a link in the #1 position in google right now for the search term "MYSTATE Internet Marketing" thanks to an Internet Video campaign I've been doing over the past 2 weeks to promote my Web Design and Internet Marketing Services locally. I'm beating out other so called Internet Marketing Firms with staff of 10+ who have been around for years and some even have their own segment on the local news channel. Here I am with my one man operation and my brand new website and I am outranking them with a simple video. Do any of you other offliner's find it easy to beat the local "big" IM firms in your state? It makes me wonder what they are offering for IM services. |

Hi, No, I have not found video to be that useful. I am actually quiet suprised you have had so much success maybe the competition was not tough. Cheers, Vishal |

I build each of my videos around the keyword I was targetting so that had a lot to do with it. Its all in the title!!

I live in the State of California, but using "Broad" in Google's Keyword Tool it doesn't have enough data for Local Search volume and Global is only 480. If I use "Exact" matching, both volumes don't have enough information to give results. So competition appears non existant. |

I use tubemogul to upload to 9 other sites. I make the title the keyword plus my business name. I optimize the description with a link to my website at the very top. I use variations of my long tailed keyword as tags...plus my business name. I've used this technique for local businesses and we hit the front page everytime. They love it and are willing to pay for it.
