Default Re: Best 2.0 sites for a link wheel?

I have a question... I read somewhere that when signing up for web 2.0 sites for link wheel purposes, you should not sign up on those sites on the same day, don't use the same account information, and use different computers (or use proxies maybe). Otherwise, Google will see this and penalize you. Is there any truth to this?

I'm worried since I don't have another computer, and if I used different login information, I might forget which one I used for what.

Can somebody verify please? Thanks!

Yes I have used my opera, It is quite OK. The content gets crawled in Minutes.

They do review the sites once in a while. So if you keep it clean it should be fine.

This is like getting a link from a brand new site, not very effective, getting links from established sites is better that is why profile backlinks work better. If you want to get links from blog sites get it from the ones that create a subfolder for you on their domain rather than a subdomain. eg

htttp://blogwebsite.com/mywidgetsite instead of htttp://mywidgesite.blogwebsite.com

I can't say subdomains are treated 100% as new domains without any PR passed on from the main domain because nobody knows what Google does, but from what I have seen with backlinking results it gave me very little ranking power.

Links from new pages on old domains give better ranking results.
Having been around on WarriorForum for a few months now, I feel it is time to give something back. I am still learning and don't have any good SEO tips or IM advice to offer, but I can do a bit of legwork.

Full credit has to go to Jared for providing the original list of sites. I have today, 29th April 2011, gone through the entire list and arranged them into categories, partly based on the subdomain aspect which has been touched on.

If you agree that blogsite.com/yoursite is the way to go, there are eleven sites to choose from for your linkwheels.

Hope this is of use to at least one fellow Warrior

I can confirm your WordPress hosted site (wordpress.com, not wordpress.org) will get removed if you overdo the links. I put lots of content on my WordPress hosted site itsallgo.wordpress.com without any outgoing links.

I then used the Blogroll section to point links to some of my forum profiles (which had signature links) and my site was suspended very quickly. Thankfully my blog went live again after I apologised and removed the blogroll links.

Tip Re: Best 2.0 sites for a link wheel?

Others have mentioned Flickr is one of the better web 2.0 properties and they are right. As a matter of fact, if you search Flickr for Web 2.0 Link Wheel you will find a couple excellent diagrams on the what a web 2.0 link wheel should contain. Once you've got your profile set up on each property, you can leverage this web 2.0 link wheel to your favor.
