hello Warriors, Having a slight issue. I just installed WP on one of my domains. never used it before. Installed the bluesense theme and inserted my ad code. Had to do some things, came back a couple hours later and noticed i still have no ad on my site. As i have never before used wordpress, shouldn't my ad have appeared fairly quickly on my front page like it does on my regular HTML pages? Or do i have to do something else as well? Put the new saved file back into /themes/bluesense where i got it from. cleared cache etc. Adam |

Did you just add your "pub-id" to the existing ads or did you create your own ads in your adsense account and then add them to the template? Just adding your "pub-id" may not work, you have to create your own ads and paste the code in, following the directions halfway down this page worked for me. Sometimes it does take a few minutes for the ads to update. Cheers, Danny |

yeah, actually that is the exact page i followed. i did log into adsense and make my own ad, pasted the code into the spot in sidebar.php . thing is, i see no sidebar area at all still. just the blank template with hello world. EDIT: wow... i figured it out... man i feel dumb now.. i guess thats what happens when you have been online studying for 10 hours..... i forgot to change the theme from default. funny thing i didnt notice till just now. ANYWAY, thanks for the response. maybe i should head to bed now :P Adam |

I've had it take up to 24 hours for the ads to start to show. I also wonder if you are running a plug-in that may be blocking you from seeing the ads. One of my blogs has a plug-in with that option, but I can't remember which plug-in it is.
