Default Question about blog comments

When making a blog reply on a dofollow blog.

When it asks for my name should I put in my name or the name of my websit or perhaps even a keyword I'm targeting?

Also should I try to get my keywords in mt comment? Should I try to sneak my url in the comment also?

If I already get a back link from the section they ask for my url should I try to sneak in my blog link instead of my web site? To siort of get double he links?

It really depends on the individual blog so I would look and see what type of other comments are on there.

Some people are very strict about having just a name only, and not putting an extra link in the comment section.

Then again, some blogs have obviously been spammed to death with nothing but keyword "names".

I tend to never put my URL in the comment box ... to me it just looks like you're there for the links to your site.

As for the name, if it looks like they are somewhat strict, you can sometimes get away with putting your name as something like:

Richard @ [Keyword]

or

Richard The [Keyword] Guy

It may not always work, but I've found you can use it to sneak in your keyword while still seeming like a genuine commenter.

But above all, make sure your comment is useful and relevant so that it's something the owner would want to approve.

Hope this helps,

Richard

Those are great tips.
So it really does help to get a keyword in that name section?

I usually get my comments approved because my comments are real. Not spam. My name is pretty well known in my industry.
I've been putting my blog url in my comment inviting them to offer their comments on my blog.
That way I get 2 links.

That is basically what I do. If I can, I try and put in a keyword into the name field, but it really depends. Also, I don't just put my website URL in but try and add a deep link instead.

My name field is always filled with my websites target keyword. And it's really worth doing it.

mix it up. if you can see that the comments are not moderated, put either your http or your main keywords. if you can see that they are moderated, make it a little sneakier and more human looking. there was a good suggestion about this earlier.

I try to post in blogs where the comments are not moderated and then I can place the http:// in the comment. Most blogs will allow a link to your site at the end of the comment so long as you make a meaningful comment that contributed to the site.
