How To Verify PPC Traffic?

How do you guys verify your PPC traffic?

What I mean by this, is if you pay for 100 clicks, how do you verify that 100 pages were served?

The reason for this would be to identify any intermitent problems that was stopping your page from loading but you still pay for the click.

I had a problem like this recently caused by a mis-configured load balancer at the datacentre, so I would like to get a slick system going for veryfying PPC traffic is not timining out, and also make sure I am not being overcharged.

That's a great question.

I strongly suggest using:

Prosper202 Self Hosted Apps

Its free to use and an incredible piece of software.

It actually tracks to the keyword level and can tell you if your pages are loaded and whether your campaign is profitable.

You must see it for yourself.

Those guys from Prosper are very helpful. It is a very easy system to set up and worth every moment of your time!

You can also turn on google analytics in webmaster tools or check your web server's referer log.

I just looked at prosper 202. Is it still worth it if you are not doing affiliate ppc marketing? I am doing PPC for my own products on my own website.

Sure.

You can do any thing you want with it.

In your case you can put a pixel on your thank-you page and the moment a visitor/client hits that thank you page it is considered as a sale.

To do that simply add your website as the "Affiliate Network"

Some things they don't explain But I use it for:

You can use it to track various purposes - For example: which subscriber on your list clicked a link and bought

Or which Article you wrote and on on which article directory generated a sale.

Those are just my twists ...

I recommend that you use the PIXEL function on step #8 ( Get Postback/Pixel ) so you don't need update your sub ID's every time.

Its simply a pixel image that you put on the confirmation page....man it's magic. Take some time to get to know it and visit their forum...

Does it record number of visits through ppc so i can compare that number to googles number of clicks to see if I am paying for more than I receive?

it records it by day and by hour
