I live in UK - Anyway to get US Google.com Results in UK?

Hi Guys,

I live in the UK and when I type a search in google.com it also displays UK based sites.

Is there a way to get the search results of the US version of google.com which US users would see?

I dont really want to use a proxy because it always takes ages to find a decent one and just impedes the point of what you are trying to do (i.e. find good keywords)

I use a proxy, but I don't find it too difficult. I use hidemyass.com and it works fairly well.

The other thing you can do is use one of the free SERP tools on webmaster sites. I haven't used one for a while but just do a search on "find my SERPs" or anything like that.

Be wary though that even these will often give you different results. I think even in the U.S. you can get different Google results depending on your region.

If Google Global doesn't work for your firefox installation, install keyword spy plugin:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/13668

It shows more countries than Google Global. BTW, google global doesn't work in my Firefox browser. Don't know why.

I think it's safe to asume that Google treats certain keywords with locations in mind to deliver the best results for the English search engines. Everyone agree?

When used with a broad search term (nothing to do with region etc) the first 10 natural results are from UK servers and domain names.

No need for proxies or any of that garbage. You can pull your rankings in 100s of search engines at the same time.

Had the same issue

Try the keywordpsy SEO firefox extension.

It not only gives you country specific info but I find it easier to use than seo quake in seo work.
