I was looking at some lenses in squidoo and I've noticed that their pr has dropped all the way to 0. These are the ones that have a backlink from the homepage which is pr 7. For example the one under tech & geek about twitter applications its been there for so long and I thought it had a high pr, maybe Im just forgetting has anyone else noticed this?

i hadn't noticed, but i don't trust the tools that display PR. Google has even gone as far as to mention that PR isn't the most important piece in their ranking algorithm. to me, it's more important that the link comes from a page with content that is relevant to my site. if you've got that, then you're good. |

I can't remember when I last checked the PR of my Squidoo lenses... I just work on my content and my backlinks, and search engines send me visitors. |

Well I really am not sure what tool your using but its wrong. It shows as a PR 7 still. But as stated above the main PR of the site really has a small influence on what your link is ranked at. When you create a squidoo page your page starts out at a PR 0 like any other new site its up to you and others to link to it and build it up into a higher PR site. FYI i use the Quirk.biz plugin for firefox to quickly gain data like PR rank alexa rank and backlinks |
