Who to trust? Spyfu or Google?

I was just doing some KW research and found a keyword that has an avg. CPC of about $9 (according to Google). Spyfu says the average CPC is about a $1. Who should I trust? I was thinking about building an adsense site around this niche but I don't want to bother if Spyfu is right, and I definitely DO want to bother if Google is right. Any ideas?

Unless you know for a fact that Google is sharing their data with Spyfu, go with Google.
