Default Who designs and writes the copy for your PPC landing pages?

Hi everyone,

I have a quick question. I am studying the ins and outs of PPC and am almost ready to have another go at it. I failed before because my landing pages which I did myself was not up to par.

I also know that in order to be successful your landing page needs to perform very well so my question is this. If I am promoting an affilliate program and I need a review style or a squeeze page done completely with graphics and ad copy, How much should i expect to pay and who does a good job at this?

Cheers

There are some good folks on this board under the "Warriors for Hire" that will do landing pages for you for a reasonable price. Here are some things to keep in mind:

1. Define success: Since you're doing affilaite marketing, you can determine your success by ROI (PPC spend / affiliate revenue) but think bigger...make a simple video squeeze page to capture emails for continued marketing. You can increase your affiliate commissions
2. Test: No designer/marketer gets the winning formula from the start. What you should consider is using a tool like Google Website Optimizer to test different elements of your squeeze page. Not only is it good at A/B tests, using these types of scripts force you to define your goal
3. Copy what others are doing: There's a reason your typical squeeze page works...it's been tested by various marketers with different traffic sources. I tend not to try to come up with something outside of the box since I know it'll work.
4. Since you're doing PPC, and I'm assuming Adwords, be very careful now on doing simple review sites as they are cracking down HARD on affiliate sites. Provide quality content and a user experience.

Thanks for the tips there, I am leaning more towards a squeeze page to collect optins but here is my concern.

I read on the forum here that the average optin rate most people have is about 20% which means that if I buy 100 clicks at 1 dollar per click it will cost me 100 bucks to get 20 people on my list. If i make a sale I would make $70 in commission. Out of the 20 optins i get for 100 bucks I need to make 2 sales to be profitable. Seems a little tight to me.

Cheers
