Rules of making AdSence site???

What are the rules on making AdSence site?
1. Do I look for long-tail-keyphrase with long-tail-keyphrase-domains-somethig.com with 50 searches a day where I can realisticly get in top 5? or some other rule? I'm looking for $5-$10/day on a site
2. Page design, how to make them click? Ideas? Tricks? Do I mix adsence with Amazon or anything else?
3. Content, I know it's the king but unique content is kind of pricey, can use some, but not too much. What about autobloging with products and stuff? Any other shortcuts?
4. Promotion: Paul's list, Angela's list, my own high pr linst, and build it at 2-3 links a day? Or is it not enough? What should i add?
5. Any decent war room specials or WSO on this topic?
