Google Slapped

I was marketing an offline marketer and built several blog sites around keywords. I was just learning SEO back then and made the mistake of being too obvious with SEO. Made a WP site - and posted 3-4 SEO articles with 3-4% keyword density all within one or two days of eachother. All sites are on page 35+ and down.. An obvious google slap. This was around July.

My question: by deleting the posts, posting new content, and a little link building, will the sites ever have the same potential to rank well? Or should I just register new domains and start over?

I don't think you have to delete the content or register with new domain. What you have to do is, you have to keep on link building for the domains which google slapped. (I belive you are able to see your site with site command, site:yourdomain.com, If you can see, you are SAFE, if not YOU ARE BANNED..)

It takes time to recover from a Google ban, even after you submit a reinclusion request you will find your site in "limbo" until you "earn" their trust back.

from the information you have given; built a wp site and posted a few articles... you should be on page 35+

I don't see anything that suggests google slap, just a lack of sufficient SEO to rank higher.

yep, nothing indicates a slap. I wouldn't worry and just keep submitting better articles.
