Proper Backlinking Strategy...

I just wanted to get your opinions on the techniques I'm using to backlink right now. Basically the process goes:

1) Submit to EZA with re-written version on my site/blog.

2) Submit the article to other directories, with a link pointing back to the origianl (with anchor text).

3) Spin the article and have free traffic system drip the links on 30 blogs.

4) Use Angela or Paul's link packets to give a boost to any keywords still having trouble.

5) Write at least 50 articles to have enough content for getting started with FTS links.



What do you all think? Is this a viable strategy? Do you prefer other methods? I'm open to everyone's input!

That's a good start. You might want to consider bookmarking some of your articles using digg, delicious, etc

Oh ok yes good idea, I have a subscription to Onlywire so that should make bookmarking articles pretty simple

Anyway, I believe you are in the right direction from the list of things you have been doing. I'm happy for you my friend :-)

It's a start. Onlywire is a nice service to use in conjunction with all of those as well. I would suggest setting up a similar system for Podcasting as sometimes writing that much content gets difficult.

Try thinking about where you actual customers spend their time online, then go there.

Aside from writing articles and submitting it to articles sites and directories, engaging on the following also helps:

commenting on DoFollow blogs
post/reply to threads on DoFollow forums
do social bookmarking and networking
do classified ads and press release

Yes do everything! You could try donating some on-topic content to related blogs as well. I've found that to be a pretty useful strategy. I get links that not everyone else can get, plus I determine the anchor text within the content and you'll build up a friendship with the blogger.

Many blogs owners will let you do this for free since you're basically doing them a favor. Just don't write chud for them.

I think you've taken a good strategy. But along with that also try to bookmark them in propeller, folkd etc. Folkd is good for quick indexing in Google as I've seen. Also do some social networking at Digg, facebook and twitter.

Yes I agree with Brian, you have a very nice strategy there. Dont forget to ping those new blogs or articles you made. Even those social bookmarks you made you must ping it too. It will help a lot in Google indexing.

Content marketing is the best strategy to drive more traffic and also to obtain contextual backlinks.

You can do that with the articles. And that's what you are doing exactly

A pretty good idea. Try to write articles by yourself for you to have your own unique article.

Well planned strategies. Very appreciating. But the idea of bookmarking is pretty Awesome and If you can add to your strategies then Your mission backlinks through article marketing will be successful.

Most seem to use the anchor link to refer back to their site (at least most info I read) or depending upon the directory, to their offer

I noticed you said when you submit to all other directories you point the anchored link back to your ezine article

is this a better model?

Or get to #1 on page one and let the customers come to you. Or do both.

Good points, also other important part in increasing PR is how you are managing PR inside a blog. It’s always better to pass maximum PR juice to blog’s home page, since home page PR is important. I hope you agree with me.
