If you were in my shoes .... targeting small low competition niches for adsense sites... what would work best and allow me to create sites faster? is the $197 really worth it? |

Wordpress!! It's free and the plug-ins and flexibility amazing. Another thing you'll soon realise if you choose xsitepro, is if you are ever away from your computer, its hard to edit your site as you don't have the software. A lesson I learnt lol. |

Never used xsite so I assume it isn't really that commonly used. Since wordpress has thousands of themes and thousands of plugins and its free, I would say wordpress all the way. +197 bucks for a small adsense site, keep the money in my oppinion, use wordpress. |

xsitepro. If you time is of any value at all, you'll not want to waste it updating your wordpress sites against the many security vulnerabilities it has, or rebuilding when it does get hacked. XSP will easily import any articles you have and and can drip feed sites just like wordpress. If you want to work on the sites from anywhere, then I'd use blogger's ftp publishing. |

I would take the money you were going to spend on xsite and buy domains and unique content to publish using wordpress. We have one website built with xsite that is number one on yahoo but hasn't gotten past number seven on Google, to be fair we spent two hours of promotion on it in the last five years but have a campaign designed to get more Google love coming soon. In summation, we have several xsite websites that all rank higher on yahoo and Bing than Google. I suspect if we built the sites using WordPress our Google rankings would be higher.

As has been talked about in other threads a zillion times, both types of sites will rank equally well. Many people seem to believe Wordpress has some magical ranking power for some reason. I have many xsitepro sites and they rank fine without having to screw around with plugins, updates, themes, etc. You can use scheduling, build a sitemap, create an rss feed and many other features.

I would advise the OP to try both and then make a decision on which works best for you instead of listening to people who don't know what they are talking about. If you are serious about your business, $197 is peanuts for a program like xsitepro.

I work with both platforms. Each has its advantages. If you are really planning just one site, go with wordpress. On the other hand, if you want to develop a number of sites, I strongly recommend Xsitepro (which is, in fact, widely used). In my view, it is the best such software out there--easy to learn, intuitive to use, easily updated and tweaked and generally faster than wp once you have set up an initial framework for the site. Xsitepro is really nice and easy to use, If you can use word you can use Xsitepro, wordpress is good too with as nice theme it looks very cool, but if its for adsense id go with Xsitepro. Wordpress is a blogging platform and Xsitepor is internet marketing software. If you are going to get Xsitepro then google Xsitepro bonus 1st! |

Honestly I would say go with both.If you plan on building multiple websites you may get bored,or just may want to switch things up a bit,at least I do,so some sites I use wordpress others xsitepro, and yes they equally rank the same, get indexed the same,etc...

| Dont limit yourself please. WP is so superior, i don't even know where to start. You will grow out of Xsite, besides the concept of a static site aka Xsite pro is very "5 years ago". You can make sharp IM sites/pages with WP too and have a zillion more options, let alone better SEO.

I use free wordpress themes, build the site, then copy the html of the made page and filezilla it back up to the server to make it a static page (because mysql servers add unecessary overhead to page load up times). I highly recommend doing this for fast load ups

I do own xsp and have used used wordpress. For the type of sites the OP is talking about xsp would be better. And as others have said, no ranking advantage to one or the other.

On any page you want to drip feed, on the "page settings tab", click on "advanced settings" at the bottom. Scheduling is right there. Can be used to put up, or take down pages.
