Ezine articles backlinking question

Can someone tell me what ezinearticles.com will allow when one *comments on articles*?
How has it worked for you?

So far, I have put my name in, but is it possible that they will accept a keyword and link that instead?

Or would they consider that spammy?

Can you put in a url back to your site in the comments?

Have any other suggestions for me?

There have been a few WSOs that have gone in depth about it. I used it a while ago but found it a waste of time for me. I did not leave a link on the actual comment section.

Marhelper, I don't think it will get you much traffic, but it does give you some backlinks.
How was it a waste of time, do you think?

Anyone else have some comments on this?
