I think that's a reasonable amount of time granting you have the right resources and depending on the keyword competition you are targeting.

Based on personal experience, I do a 3-month and another 3-month planning. So far for highly competitive keywords you can fairly get up to page 3-2 (or even page 1 if you're lucky). Again with the right amount of resources and the right path on content, link building, structure, etc. you can achieve success in 3 months.

P.S. A 3-month period will also give you an idea how your site behaves in the engines vis-a-vis your SEO efforts in a given time.

Hi Terry

I know that it may take up to 3 or more than that months to show any result in the seo but i want to know something about the backlinks here. As there are so many users using same strategies like using Angela,Paul, yours and of course other backlinks packages so how long it goes on work? is building backlinks from high page rank or from forum signature or profile page is Legal in the eye's of Google?

what does Google says about these types of links? I know these links do work but i want to know that for how long it continues? Because every one talking negatively on this forum related to the backlinks packages that Google will catch them and decreasing in the SERP.

What you say and i want to know from others so please express your opinion here as it may help me and help others too.

Just about any linkbuilding you authorise automatically puts you into the not-white hat category. Still, it's not "illegal". Google can't figure out whether it's you placing these links or somebody else. I mean, the platforms that host Angela/Paul-style links allow users to create links and write what they want. Google just sees user-generated content linking to your site. It's all good...

Google will never decrease your SERPs for these links, or most other links. If they did, then we might as well all outsource a few hundred links to sabotage page 1 competitors on your search term.

No, Google only penalises you if it knows beyond the shadow of a doubt that YOU authorised this link building. This can happen, for instance, if you operate a link-farm with websites hosted on the same IP and that have the same WHOIS information.
