Hello there professional SEO-ers, Here's a question that has been bugging me for quite some time. I followed the steps according to couple of SEO guides and saw a rise in rank on google for my main keyword. I modified my Titles, meta-tags, meta-descriptions, keyword densities, tags, categories, send my RSS feed to dozens of RSS feed directories, submitted my links to couple of high PR web directories, posted valuable content... But the question is: "What made my ranks move up slowly the search results of google? Which was actually the main things I should be doing to gain organic traffic? Backlinks with anchor text using my main keyword, will that help in my search engine results? Would really appreciate advice! Regards, Edmund |

I don't believe there is one definitive answer to that question. The combination of everything, on-page optimization, targeting a keyword you can compete for, submitting RSS, and off-page SEO all come together to determine your ranking. If there is one thing that matters more than anything else, it's what you've already mentioned in your post: Quote:
