I need a keyword density tool.

I have 2 questions for you guys. First of all I read in a different thread that if you use a keyword density tool for your articles then your articles will rank higher. Is this true and if it is where can I find a density tool and what density is acceptible?

Second question, how can I check what PR ranking a website has? Is there a toolbar I can download?

I tend to aim for a keyword density of between 2-6%. I tend to publish the text on a blank page of my site and then use one of the keyword density checkers that come up in Google.

keyword density is only of importance if you are trying to stuff too many in there. make sure the keyword phrase is mentioned a few times per 500 words and that will be enough. You will do better if you write content for the reader rather than the search engine.

You can find out PR by installing the google tool bar. Or did I misunderstand your question?

Density guidelines are subjective. Rather than go for a specific % it's often better to go for long tail and plenty of related words. In my experience, keyword proximity is also helpful especially at the beginning of the content.
