Direct Linking to Merchants with Placement Targeting ??

Hi,
I'm planning on running a few tests using placement targeting, I've got a good list of sites I'd like to target, but my LP is not yet ready I want to be able to direct link to the merchant's product page with a set of display ads.

I'm using the Google Ad Builder and after putting the display ads together it asks for a display URL and destination URL. Normally I would enter my domain name for the display and LP for destination, but how do I get around this if I'm direct linking?

As I understand it, Google will not allow some merchant names to be used, in this case the merchant is Avanquest Software, I'm an approved affiliate, but I think if I use their name as the display I may run into an issue, on the other hand if I enter my own domain and send the traffic to avanquest.com I'm in even deeper dong, correct?

What's the best way to do this when direct linking?

Use the merchant URL for your display and your affiliate link for the destination.

Well that's the thing though, Google may not like me using the merchant's name in my ad.

From what I understand, you are just going to use it as the display URL, right?

If that's the case, I don't think you'll have any problem.

Exactly, I guess I'm a bit paranoid that Google may get a bit slap happy with me if I do. I know that in text ads when you use ... say the word ipod, iphone etc, right away they say those restricted trademarks. Also names like Apple, Dell, HP etc all of those are somewhat restricted.

The other thing I'm a little concerned about is putting my affiliate link straight into the ad, isn't that a little dangerous?
