Domaining has always been very interesting to me. You make it sound easy, but what does typo-generic mean? How to you drive immediate traffic to it?

How consistently do you get results like $50 in 20 minutes? Is that a daily occurrence? Or did it just happen once in your career and you're playing it up?

In my experience, most domainers own a whole lot of domains that make nothing or lose money and then occasionally get one that makes good money.

Cool idea, and are you guaranteed to almost always "make it"? I keep hearing of niches paying $10-odd or more per click, but what in the world are those niches? Of course, I am yet to get a real answer to this either from someone or by myself.

Forgive me for being sceptical, but I find parked pages spammy. They provide little value to the user while pretending to be an informative site, and I normally click away as fast as I can (using the back button) when I come across them.

i have a few cool sounding domain names, had them parked with godaddy, sedo and namespace for a few months and didnt make a cent.

Maybe u got the midas touch.

I guess to be able to run with this one needs to understand how real estate works? Buy land on good street (domain name), put up the fence (parking) and then just pay the local council land charges (hosting fee etc) whilst it appreciates ion value (income)? Make any sense? I need to get started but I want to master blogging before moving to another area. What do you think?

So this guy made a topic with the title "How I made $50 from my new domain in 20 minutes", and in 10 posts he failed to even talk about the details.

All his posts basically come down to 1 line:
"more traffic = more money"

In other news, water is wet.

Maybe I should make a thread titled "How I made $50 in 20 minutes on Mars"
Then tell everyone all you need is:
1. Buy a good light speed flying saucer.
2. Find A good company on mars that buy rocks for $50 a bucket.

I am not going to tell you any details tho, I'll just brag about the fact that I am doing it, and I'll do everything to make my post as long as possible without taking about any specifics so some noobs may think I am actually on to something and ask the obvious questions, at which point I get my kick because what I really crave is attention from people I don't know and don't care about.

By the way, did I tell you, selling rocks on mars is like an art? Please tell me I am a great artist.

Pfft, come back when you have actual details to offer.

Agree with some of the negative posts here. Whilst telling people he will specifically enlighten us to the method, he managed to avoid it completely

I would like to share some information that may fill the gaps left by the OP, and hopefully some of the newbies that were interested in the thread will take something positive away....

1. Sign up free or paid to FreshDrop.net - The Domain Searching Platform
2. Obtain some high traffic niche keywords from one of your fellow Warriors for hire
3. Search for domains using freshdrop.net that contain those lovely keywords, and be sure to search for domains that have backlinks already on Google, Yahoo etc. and that have age & a PR rank
4. Sign up with some of the aforementioned parking agents. Trial each one to see what fits you best. You lose nothing from a month's trial, but can gain a lot
5. To get traffic, utilise some of the free methods taught here, like blogging, forum posting etc.

That was a few pointers I put together in about 2 minutes... and I've never domained in my life. I don't see why the OP had such a struggle
