Is Google blocking blogs from being indexed into their index's now? I've had a site up for a few weeks and tried everything under the sun but my site is still not indexed. Wrote a few articles Created a sitemap using RRS social bookmarked the site created a dig submission Now previous when i did those methods I was indexed within 24 hours Has anything changed since then and does the below robots.txt file telling Google not to include my site? Thanks User-agent: Mediapartners-Google Disallow: User-agent: * Disallow: /search |

Submit your site to digg.com, this is "almost" a guranteed way to get indexed. I have good luck with digg |

Real quick...did you uncheck privacy in the settings area of Wordpress. It used to be in previous versions of wordpress, it was checked by default. Now you have to physically check the box that says you want search engines to find you. The other thing to do, is check your cpanel awstats and see if the bots have been through. If it is marked private, then uncheck it, resubmit a site map, and ping it. Put it in your sig file here at the WF and it should get crawled quickly. Other than that, it sounds like you did everything right. Make sure the site has good content on the first page of your site in case the reviewers have seen your site. If they think it's not a quality site, they might not have indexed it. Hope this helps. Karen |

In another thread (and perhaps more), people have been talking about the newest Google changes, and how they're affecting some websites' rankings. When Google changes its algorithm, I try not to fret over indexing issues... not for a couple of weeks, anyway. I can't imagine them not indexing Blogger blogs. If you've done everything that usually works, wait and see for a few days. Everything may be fine when the dust settles with this newest change at Google. Put your time into content in the meantime. That's always a winning choice! |

for a few weeks/months already it has been observed that Google takes WAY longer than the former "few hours" to index sites....give it 4-5 days. And i am talking including digg, social bookmarking etc..etc...it just takes longer now. |
