I have sites that from one day to the next can have a range of one dollar between the amount earned for a click. Is there anything I can do to try to level that off? What causes it? I understand the idea of bidding but what factors would cause the payout to go from something over a dollar down to thirty cents and then back up? |

Look at your Analytics. When did those clicks take place? Morning means more competition and money in the Adwords pool, so you are likely getting the bigger payout early. As the daily allocation of Adwords money is used up (for that day), there is less competition, thus a lower payout for the advert. |

The only way you can change this is if you work for Google. Until then all you can do is keep producing content people want and google will rank. Google does not provide the information you need to adjust this. And the ads you see are not the same as the ads your visitors see. |
