Hey, The title sums it up really. When you're hunting for domains and using the Google keyword tool and comparing keyword traffic volume (exact) against the number competitors (exact - as in "keyword"), what would you say a good R/S (results/searchers ratio) is? Or more importantly - what is the minimum it has to be for you to be interested? I know there are other really important factors involved in good domain name keywords, the ad pay rate/the quality of competition, etc. I was just wondering what people considered a good ratio of searchers/. For example if I use the Google keyword tool and see: 'example' has - 3000 searchers (exact not broad) and 'example' has 45000 results for competitors for this term when doing a Google search (putting the keyword in brackets as in "example"). That's a ratio of 15/1. For me way too high. I personally don't spend too much time on keywords unless this ratio is under 4/1 - what about everyone else? Ideally I look for 1/1 or less. P.S: I know there are loads of other factors involved in choosing quality domain names and I may be slightly oversimplifying the process. I just find this aspect really interesting when narrowing down potential keywords from a large list. |
