Default Question about dynamic URLS and search engines.

Here's an article about why search engines don't like dynamic urls and a solution. Is this article up to date and correct?

Dynamic URLs vs. Static URLs

Google has solved the problem.

But in your article they make a statement about how a static
website is easier to view. Nonsense. They also say a view has
no clue as to what a dynamic url is about. Nonsense. Sometimes
I never look at the url for a website I'm visiting.

Dynamic urls are actually proof positive that google could care
less, mostly, about duplicate content. Just look at this forum and
the posts. They get indexed by google fast. If you want google to
put more weight on one url, put it in their preferred site map.

Your article also states that urls must have keywords in them.
Absolutely nonsense. They even break the rule by using the
nonsensical domain, webconfs.com How silly is that domain when
the title of their website is SEO tools????????!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man
that is rich. I gotta remember that one, baby!

Google handles dynamic urls just fine. I am too lazy to dig up some
info, but they say there is a small, a very small chance, that for
some dynamic urls that point to the same page may have the PR
juice diluted. Other than that, if dynamic urls were a problem, then
man, every large site would be in trouble. I just did a search for
Ringo Starr's new album. The #7, 8, and 9 slots are all dynamic urls.

Normally, google picks your best dynamic url that points to the page.
Not a problem for 99.99% of us I would imagine.

Hi Paul

Thanks for the response. After posting this I found some other info. I think that first article I posted was outdated.

Here's a good post I found regarding this subject. Read the post and what the comments say and let me know what you think. Basically it's saying yes, Google does index dynamic urls and they can do just fine, but there are still advantages to having static urls.
