Default PPC for expensive niche

I would like to give ppc a shot.

I know that I can not make adswords work because the cost per click is so high for my niche. I would have to bid $5 min, even for long tails and I just would not get the ROI.

Are there any systems that tend to have lower bid prices?

DebtPlan.org ranks #3 for "debt consolidation california"

you make the mistake to target a NICHE + KEYWORDS, like 95% of all adwords advertisers. You will have a hard time in markets like weight loss, or whatever other niches every IMer and their mama promotes.

You might want to try DEMOGRAPHICS targeting, avoid bidding on keywords altogether.

According to some big shot clickbank vendors this is actually how the big affiliates make money, NOT with bidding on expensive keywords, but "interrupt marketing" / media buys on sites where the right AUDIENCE is.

Thanks GeorgR,

That may make sense in my case.
