Article Marketing 101

I'd really appreciate an Article Marketing 101.

I've been reading threads here, and looking online, but i haven't found, as yet, anything complete and authoritative which doesn't have some kind of bias.

1) Can you send the same article to different article marketing sites OR is that classed as duplicate content?
2) Do the articles have to be of a good quality? Or can you just submit anything written from India / Philippines?
3) Are some article directories harder to get articles accepted to than others?
4) Is the main purpose of article marketing the in-bound links Or the traffic from the articles themselves
- If its the traffic, then I guess the answer to (2) above is that the articles should be well written?
5) Are there automated tools for submitting articles?
6) Approx how many articles directories are there?

1) Some you can some you can not. Ezine articles has duplicate content others wont care. Duplicate content is a big myth where on warrior forums. Its fine to have it.
2) It should be good quality if you provide quality your readers are going to remember you and stand a better chance of visiting your site
3) Yes
4) Backlinks and Traffic along with name and picture recognition.
5) Yes
6) Hard to tell but I would go with hundreds to a few thousand.

You should probably just use uniquearticlewizard.com, and save yourself loads of time.

I would recommend to use as many article sites as possible to get a diverse link profile to your websites!

UAW submits your article to over 2000 different article directories, which is why I mentioned it.

Duplication material will be indexed. However, it will be in the bottom of the SERPs.
