Default You do NOT make money with paid advertising because you rely only on PPC...

I'm not saying here that PPC is not profitable, cause we
all know that it is. But PPC isn't the only option when it comes
to paid advertising. It's just a fraction of the whole paid advertising
pie.

I see people whine that

paid advertising doesn't work...
paid advertising loses you money...
paid advertising is a headache...

Bla bla bla...

Paid advertising and direct linking is the EASIEST way to make
money.

The only drawback is that you need to invest
money to make money, and you may lose money at
first before you start making money.

The BIG Problem

It seems that a lot of people are brainwashed that to make
money with paid advertising, you need to use PPC networks,
specifically adwords.

Adwords adwords adwords...

Why are you so obsessed with it?

In case you haven't noticed, the competition @ adwords
is massive, and while it's still very profitable, it's also a
big headache.

When the competition in adwords started to rise in an unbelievable
rate, people:

Kept using adwords.
Left the paid advertising game
Started using other networks

I made the last one in bold because it's very important. A lot
of people say that other advertising networks suck...

I advertise with plenty of different websites, and...

NONE of Them Suck!

It depends on the niche. You see, it has nothing to do
with the network that you choose.

The network is just a medium, that connects you (the advertiser)
with websites owners (publisher).

If the advertising network doesn't have any good websites
in the internet marketing niche, then it would be dumb to try to
advertise an internet marketing product with them.

But I Do NOT make the most money from paid advertising with
PPC.

Thanks to adwords, and the the obsession that people have with
that network, various other networks have almost zero competition.

But all PPC networks have some competition, even the smallest ones.

The networks that have very little competition are the ones
that offer CPM ads, popup ads, interstitial ads etc...

Think about this for a moment...

How many e-books have you seen and/or read about PPC?

How many posts on forums have you seen about PPC?

The Answer... A LOT!

Now think about this...

How many e-books have you seen or read that target popup
advertising, CPM advertising etc...?

Or how many posts have you seen that talk about this stuff?

I bet you haven't seen a lot of stuff, about this stuff, right?

That just goes to show you how much people ignore those
advertising methods.

And due to lack of competition, these advertising methods are dirt
cheap.

But what can I promote in let's say a popup?

Here's a hint...

I don't know about you, but I must get about 20 different
popups every day, and surprisingly enough, 75% of them are
always the same, hmmm.

That just goes to show you that these guys are most probably
making money.

I mean, someone would be crazy to leave the campaign for
a week, a month, without making money.

What I do to make money is simple, I OBSERVE...

And do exactly as they're are doing. I sign up with the
same affiliate program that they're promoting, sign up
with the same advertising network and do the same.

The Paid Advertising Game Is A Piece Of Cake, Really...

The test data that you need is right in front of you. Top advertisers
are already showing you everything that you need to know. All you
need to do is copy their systems.

The point...

Paid advertising is NOT PPC. PPC is just a small part of paid
advertising. I suggest that you start looking into other advertising methods.

You'd be surprised at how easily you can generate money from
popups, CPM ads, and stuff like that.

Don't get the wrong idea though, I'm NOT mocking PPC Advertising,
I'm just saying that I find it easier to make money from other paid
advertising methods.

ALWAYS LOOK AT THE DARN ADS! IF YOU KEEP SEEING THE
SAME ADS OVER AND OVER AGAIN, THEN WHOEVER IS BEHIND
THEM IS PROBABLY MAKING MONEY

Cheers,
Johnny

I totally agree with you because there is always PTC and PPV advertising and I am part of another forum that is strictly for PPV, and it really is a great way to make money, I hope anyone that reads this thread will appreciate that Paid Advertising is such a huge topic and its just like SEO, where forum backlinks are only one section of it and there are so many other types of SEO!

Good Luck!

I learned that "Don't keep all your eggs in one basket" is a good habit for a IMer, get traffic from different resources definitely is a safer way.

I can't remember the last time I saw a pop up.

Congratulations on your success though.
