Wordpress Theme Suggestion

Hi can somebody please suggest a magazine type Wordpress theme that will work well with adsense. I will be setting up a news/gossip type site. Been searching for a few days now and most of the themes seem too fancy or cluttered with distractions everywhere. It would be helpful if there is somebody that monetized a magazine type site with adsense before that could recommend a theme paid or free.
