Default Indexed Wrong Page? Wordpress Dilemma

(wasnt sure where to post this.. also put in web design)

My dilemma is this..

My ecommerce blog with datafeed items has some very general tag pages indexed. I've received some traffic for very specific items via model number searches.

The problem is .... When my page gets clicked thru for the one item, it takes the user to a general tag page where their item is at the bottom of 15 items. So they are clicking off, not searching again.

Is there a way to fix this ? Did I set it up wrong in the first place? Is this a tag, post or keyword issue?

I don't understand how a general tag page got indexed with a specific model number post.

Any suggestions/feedback would be very helpful..

Liz
