Accuracy of Google Keyword Tool

Hello all...

I came across this website that did an experiment to determine how accurate the Google Keyword tool is and thought it was pretty interesting and might provide some insight to newbies.

It's from 2008 but it's got some interesting things to say... what do you guys think?

I came across this because I just found out tonight that one of my sites is ranked second for a keyword I wasn't even going after and it turns out that keyword is searched 8,100 times a month yet I haven't seen that keyword mentioned on my AwStats or Google Analytics so I wanted to find out how accurate it was...
