Arrow Below first page bid 2.50$

when I get a message like this Below first page bid 2.50$ what it means?
even though ad position says 5.

when I clicked on an ad preview for diagnostics I got this message:
Quote:
This particular search term is already associated with an ad from one of your other campaigns or ad groups. Only one ad per advertiser may appear on a given page per search term. When two or more of your ads are eligible for a single search term, we show the one with the highest ranking at the moment.
I am using one adgroup per keyword and one Ad per theme

thanks

I don't believe in using just one keyword per group, but to each is own. However, you should be testing more than one ad per group. You have the opportunity to test different things, take advantage of it.

As for "below first page" messages when you are already on the first page, that's a bit of a quirk of the system. I believe the data is calculated from all advertisers, whether their ads/keywords are active or not. Therefore, should all of these advertisers be active, your bid and QS would not put you on the first page. This is another indication that your QS and hence your CTR may be poorer than competitors. Improve it and the message will disappear and you'll save money.

Also not a good idea to have copies of the same keywords in other groups. It can become a management nightmare.

I don't know your keywords so I can't say if they are related. They probably are but my experience is that you can probably group them somehow.

Example: I'm doing a campaign for an outfitter. They do moose and elk hunts. Doing some research, I find that some will search on outfitter keywords, others on trips or guides.

So in a Moose Outfitters group, I have keywords (in phrase and exact matches) such as "moose outfitters" and "moose hunt outfitters" and "moose hunting outfitters". They all have two main words: moose and outfitter. Not saying that I won't have separate groups eventually, say a Moose Hunt/ing Outfitter group for example, if it makes sense to do so. But those keywords right now are related as far as I can see.

If you want to put one keyword only in each group and it's easy for you to do so, go ahead. I'm just saying that you don't need to be so granular. Remember too that you may end up with thousands of groups.

Your QS as well as that of everybody else is a moving target. It tends to move more in the beginning simply because the system needs enough impressions to calculate it. It may have grossly over or under estimated at first.

Since everybody's QS is a moving target, not to mention changing bids, first page bids are moving targets as well.
